(This is my personal analysis of my marks and what I should do. Feel free to skip this section!) 

Anyways, a breakdown of the results. For GP, I got 32/50 for my essay. It’s just not good enough! Need to brush up on the style and needs more evaluation. PLUS better spelling needed - I had like 5-6 spelling errors! That aside, I’m decently happy with GP Paper 2. Afterall, the AQ was a total gonner, so to get like 30/50 was not too bad (I guess?). Need more practice for AQ and aim to score 7 marks for SQ. Need to sharpen SAQ answering too. Then there was math. Omg, there were no As in the cohort and only 37% pass! I was right there in the middle. Just one mark away from an E. Need more practice and need to hit the 60-70 range by the mock papers! Lastly, Econs paper 2. Well, I don’t really have much to say except for the fact that I’ve sort of improved in my scores, but I still need to do much better to hit the ‘A’. So looking forward to getting my history paper back (though I’m worried sick about it).

That aside - after school today, I went for lunch with my A04 class buddies. It was a nice time to chill before hitting the books again. (And we’ll not be able to do this so often until after the As.) Anyways, u guys still owe me a treat! Hahaha! After that, I headed over to Yew Tee to settle some stuff, with Atheena accompanying me. Here’s where it gets better. I had first hand evidence that proves that my hypothesis is right!

(This section is just for laughs – I am totally bored!) 

Did some math practice, so here’s what I found out!

H₀: µ= Atheena and Assyaraf have a certain kind of chemistry between them.

H₁: µ≠ Atheena and Assyaraf have a certain kind of chemistry between them.

Level of significance: 5% (The probability of Atheena calling me Assyaraf instinctively, twice)

Thus, reject H₀ if incident occurs ≤ one time.

From personal observation and calculations, Atheena called me ‘Ass’ twice. Thus, we do not reject H₀. In conclusion, as Atheena called me ‘Ass’ twice, there is insufficient evidence to prove that µ≠ Atheena and Assyaraf have a certain kind of chemistry between them.

Hence, it is safe to assume H₀: µ= Atheena and Assyaraf have a certain kind of chemistry between them.

Hahah. What happened was that our dear friend Atheena called me ‘Ass’ twice instinctively. Like say when she almost tripped – she called out to “Ass to hold on to [her]“. I kinda forgot what she said on the other incident.

But when I asked her about the whole calling me “Ass” thing; this is what she said (And i quote) “His name always comes to my mind first”. Hahaha!

Anyways, the post-prelim break was really a great opportunity to get some chill-time before hitting the books again. I managed to catch up on much needed ZZZs and had some time to slack around. On monday, went out with the J2 Debaters. We went to have xlb at Beach Road and then went for some ice-cream and then head to the esplanade where we did some crazy stuff. Jonathan joined us for dinner, and then we had some drinks. Both Sheena and Nandini got really high, while Ah-tham managed to abstain from drinks this time. Here are some pics!

Had a really great time catching up with them. It’s been a long while, but we had great fun. Oh, and not forgetting the crazy singing by Sheena and also Fei Yun’s BFTs (Big Fat Thighs). Hahaha. Okay lah, BFTs also means Best Friends Together. (Fei Yun came up with this lamer version of BFFs.)  Anyways, all the best for the ‘A’ levels guys! And to my J1 friends, good luck for promos! Anyways, today was my mom’s birthday. Happy 49th Birthday Mother! Wanted to get a customised cake for her, but finally decided against it. I got some flowers from my aunt’s florist instead. The flowers were really nice! Here are some pics!

I really hope I can really say what she said. OMG, life is so boring now! Its just study, study and study. But hang on in there, its 69 more days to the end of all this misery.

Anyways, the math paper yesterday was generally okay. Well, the statistics were alright; but the pure math section was not very well done. For today’s SEA paper, its was suprisingly not very difficult. I’m not bragging, but the questions were generally easy. Even the SBQ was like about regional security cooperation, not about like ASEAN economic cooperation or stuff – that would totally suck. Really hope that I can mantain for history, say a high B? Hahah. That said, theres one last paper tmrw! CSE paper 2.

Anyways, the whole thesis thing is finally out of my system. Like its finally over and done with. (Cross my fingers and hope for the best!) Though I really wanna thank Mr. Chan for his help and his kindness toward me throughout the whole process, especially after the mix-up over the phrasing of the thesis question. Thank you!

Okay, I’ve got to go read about China and its affairs now (I’m really bored to death). Cheerio!

But its like really weird. I was just chatting with fei yesterday, and I just realized that my outlet for exam stress is really weird. Its…. “Reflecting on life”.

Yup, I said it, its reflecting on life. Like I’ve been really thinking about life and the purpose of life and the goals of life and the essence of life and the circle of life and the process of life and just everything about life itself. I am really going crazy. Period.

But that being said, reflecting on life really gives me motivation to sit and stare at books. Like really. But disclaimer here: I am not some depressed psychopathic person. I’m just really bored and am in need of some real fun, but don’t have the time to have fun. Yup, another 71 days till the end of the ‘A’s. Can do it Jared!

On a lighter note, Liverpool won West Ham 3-2 with El Nino scoring 2 goals. All hail king Torres!  And yesterday’s sermon was about how we should centre our lives around the eternal kingdom of God. It was really good, despite the poor delivery. Thats about all I’ve got to say now.

I have no idea why, but i have this urge to start blogging again. I guess its due to the state of my life right now, which is mug,mug,mug,mug,mug. Enough said.

But anyways, this blog would be like my outlet for all my crazy train of thoughts and stuff like that. So anyways, I had this conversation with Atheena yesterday about life and the future. Like I guess the future is like my only motivation and morale booster for me going through this whole ‘A’ level process. I mean honestly, like this whole process is crazy. JC didn’t turn out the way I expected it to be, my JC was mostly uneventful (though I did meet really wonderful people along the way) and life in general was not very good either. But yup, I know that this is just a passing phrase. I’m gonna enjoy life at its fullest after all this.

So anyways, I was really thinking about this: I have like a goal for my future (which is to go to the States and do what I really want to do –  which is politics). But then again, in my pursuit towards this goal, have I forgotten the main premise of this dream? Have I become so focused on the prize that I lose track of the process and fail to enjoy the many gifts and blessings that God is giving me? Have I become so goal motivated that I have totally changed my character? Like I really hope not, and well I really hope that this goal of mine would really bear fruit and that I’d enjoy the results of my goal. But that being said, Thy will be done Lord, not mine.

Anyways, for now it likes just  50 days to the big As. Imma gonna have to push and give it my all. Its gonna be a painful process, but the friuts of my labour would be reaped. Anyways, to all my muslim friends, happy Hari Raya!
